Engage Summit Day Three – The Breakers Palm Beach

Engage Summit Day Three was such a bittersweet day! After a few packed days of parties and lessons learned, everyone was equal parts eager to get home to get to work feeling refreshed and sad to be leaving The Breakers. Day Three started off strong with a Peaches and Cream Tropical Breakfast and was followed by a fabulous flamingo inspired Croquet Lawn Lunch. After lunch we all went back to our rooms to start the glam process for the Gala later that night which did Not disappoint. The Gala is the climax to the Engage! Summit and it is absolutely S T U N N I N G. Dripping with crystal chandeliers, soft draping, candelabras, high gloss dance floor and gorgeous florals from top to bottom. It was a highlight to the day and such a fun way to end the summit. The Purple Rain After Party kept the dance party going long into the night and was another beautifully designed space with the iconic purple uplights, decor, and abundant floral centerpieces around the lounge areas.

This summit was so incredibly needed to regroup for this second half of 2016!

Engage Summit Day Two – The Breakers Palm Beach

bourbon street breakfast

We hope everyone had a fabulous 4th of July Weekend! Our Couture team was all over the place this weekend rocking our red, white, and blue with pride. We’re continuing our Engage Summit adventures with photos from Day Two! If you missed Day One be sure to check it out here! It is such a whirlwind to relive these events, there was so much talent in one space and it was such an honor to learn from these people we love and bring those lessons back to our team.

We started Day Two with a New Orleans inspired Breakfast of Champions. Every food station was named after a different street in NOLA and the decor was reminiscient of that classic southern charm. We went straight into our morning session and then had a ‘HAPPY BREAK’ which was exactly what it sounds like…bright yellow, cheerful, emoji filled snacks and smiles all around. Our beach club lunch followed and it had the cutest cabana inspired decor right down to the coral shaped metallic menus. Our main session was so inspiring – really well respected men and women in the wedding community stood before us and shared their best kept secrets, their highs and lows, and their advice for us, their peers, as we forge ahead with our dreams and goals in this industry.

The night ended with an amazing popsicle break and SUGAR.PARTY. that’s right folks. Sugar, candy, confections, all you could eat. Dancers and gymnasts adorned with sprinkles for make-up, brightly-colored wigs, and sweets like you wouldn’t believe. It was such a fun celebration and a great way to end night two as we prepared for the Gala on night three…more to come tomorrow!

Summer Wedding Trends 2016

Now that we are post-Memorial Day, we are officially moving into summer weddings and as we finalize details with these couples, there are some amazing Summer Wedding Trends that we think you’ll be seeing a lot more of in the coming months! So far, these new trends have been nothing short of extravagant.

Signature Drinks

How delicious and cool do these signature drinks look? Create a whiskey tasting vignette, a tequila bar, or have your signature cocktails prepped and ready to go for guests as they enter the cocktail area to avoid lines at the bar. Create a VIP experience for your guests from the moment they walk into cocktail hour! PS…for the extra touch, add some custom wooden drink stirrers or custom napkins (like these ones from our friends at Delovely Details)

This summer wedding trend has everyone looking their best – mismatched bridesmaid dresses are the way to go! Bridesmaids now have a say in what they wear on the special day, from color and length to style and fit. Some of the most popular mismatched styles have been different shades of a particular color, different colors of a particular pattern, or just flat out mismatched. No need to feel insecure while walking down the aisle in a dress that doesn’t complement you best, the choice is now yours! This trend is not only fashion-forward, it totally takes the stress away from trying to make the color and style of every bridesmaid dress match perfectly to every body style (not to mention, you’ll finally have a bridesmaid dress that you can wear at places other than a wedding).

Surprisingly this trend has also been popular for the groomsmen too. You can expect to see groomsmen this summer wearing more patterned and mismatched ties (like these from The Grunion Run), or some off-beat, stylish derivative of the groom’s suit. For now, the days of wedding uniformity are out — but then again, who ever really encouraged blending in?

When thinking of summer desserts for your wedding you want something interactive for guests! Custom, decorative boards, like the one we snapped on our phone pictured above, can turn your food into an artistic statement. One of Couture’s own, Karina, turned her dessert station into a work of art. The famed Krispy Kreme donuts hung on pegs and decorated on cake stands. Food walls are a great way to display all of your favorite summer treats and allow guest to take the treats at their leisure!

Whatever trend you connect to most, let it be stress-free and the perfect, unique reflection of you as a couple!
