Spring Wedding Trends

It’s cloudy and rainy here in California, but that’s not stopping us from sharing our favorite spring wedding trends right now! We are looking ahead to spring and feeling excited for our couples this year and the ways they are embracing these trends for their wedding.

Green, Green, and more Green

This new and innovative style is the use of greenery and natural materials into parts of your wedding. The appeal to greenery is the diverse types that can be used to create a unique warmth, custom appearance, and personalized look. The greenery is soothing and attractive to the eye, while also expressing an elegance and splendor to your décor. Greenery can be used in several ways, as table runners, flower bouquets, accents to the alter, groomsmen boutonnieres, centerpieces, or decoration on the cake. It blends perfectly with any color theme you choose, and it is the official Pantone color of the season. One of our favorite color palettes is a rose gold, blush, champagne, and cream color scheme accented with greenery for that classic but organic vibe. This trend has been on the rise in weddings, but will explode this season without a doubt!

Rose Gold

Weddings and fashion have had a long history and love affair with rose gold, a color crossed between pink/copper and gold. It’s the type of trend that has gone in and out of style, and right now it’s definitely a MUST. In the fashion, beauty and wedding world, rose gold has been making a regular appearance.

There are so many shades in this color palette that bring a warmth to nearly any design. Rose gold is a pretty, friendly, and romantic color, it’s not as bold as true gold, but also not as subtle as silver. It’s a happy in between that looks good on almost any skin tone and pairs well with other colors.

The latest popular trend we’re seeing in weddings across the country, are enchanting rose gold accents. This trend is showing up on everything from rings, table decor, invitations and so much more! This romantic color pairs well with a variety of different wedding themes from the most rustic to the most glamorous. Rose gold has seemingly been a hit in almost every season, but because of its pink undertone it’s sure to be a big hit this Spring! The fashion, beauty and wedding industries are taking this trend and turning it into a lifestyle, integrating this color everywhere in charming, creative ways. Rose is the new gold and we LOVE it!

Bridal Brunch Look

Minishoot2-44

The day after your wedding who knows how your hair and make up will look! That is why we went with a cute low bun for the Bridal Brunch look, so that no matter what your curls look like the morning after, they will be pulled up in the cutest style. For your makeup, make sure to wash your face that night (it is not good to sleep in makeup) but let’s be real sometimes that does not happen! If that’s the case, wash your face the next morning and apply a soft eye + a pretty coral pink lip.

Hair:

STEP 1: Work with the volume you have, brush all your curls to one side and pin or tie with a rubber band.

Minishoot2-21

STEP 2: Separate your side pony in to 2 sections, twist them each the opposite ways all the way to the ends. After you are done twisting then twist the two sections together.

Minishoot2-24

STEP 3: Grab the center of your big twist and pinch with your fingers then push that hair up towards your pony tail & keep going until all the hair is in one big knot/bun, then grab your bobby pins and start pinning!

Make-up:

STEP 1: A quick way to look awake and lively is by throwing on a pair of false lashes! The eyeshadow can remain neutral and simple, the lashes are what will make your eyes POP!
STEP 2: Add some blush to the apples of your cheeks to for a fresh and colorful look
STEP 3: Last but certainly not least: add a pop of color for your lippie! A coral pink lip like this one will make this such a fun daytime look!

Bohemian Rehearsal Dinner Look

Minishoot2-19

For the rehearsal dinner look, the anticipated night before the biggest day of your life, it is best to go with something soft in order to prepare for your big day, your hairstylist will LOVE if you show up with a little bend in your hair & have it a day old, your make up artist will love that she isn’t having to wipe off layers of eyeshadow, mascara or liner. With a soft brown eye, thin liner + a soft lip it’s the perfect way to look fabulous while making it easy for your stylists to work with the next day. Plus, if you go soft the night before then you will be sure to WOW your guests with your bridal look! That is why we went with beach waves, loose bohemian braids + a natural eye & lip.

Make up:

STEP 1: To play up the bohemian look, wear a light to medium coverage foundation so your real skin can shine through in all it’s natural beauty.

Minishoot2-15

STEP 2: Sometimes less is more. Keep the eyes neutral toned for this boho look.

Minishoot2-18

STEP 3: This look could also be described as “free spirited” and just like the eyes, keep your lips soft and natural by wearing either a nude lipstick or a tinted lip balm.

Hair:

Minishoot2-4

STEP 1: Take small sections and wrap your hair around your curling iron, leaving an inch of your ends out.

Minishoot2-7

STEP 2: Take a section from one side of your hair and braid it back then pin, take a section from the other side and do the same thing. Once they are secured you can go through and pull the braids apart, giving it that loose bohemian look.

Minishoot2-16

STEP 3: Top it off with a gorgeous head piece.
