Garrett and Eric’s wedding was full of southern hospitality atop the beautifully sun-kissed Malibu hills. Malibu Rocky Oaks was a destination wedding for this Tennessee couple and they wanted every detail of their gorgeous wedding to be intimate and romantic with a playfulness that carried throughout the day. It was such a joy to help Garrett make every detail she had envisioned come to life!
We are so excited to share that Garrett & Eric’s wedding was recently featured on 100 Layer Cake!!!
Their ceremony was breathtaking, the views from the helipad alone transport you to a world all on its’ own. From vintage church pews with a draped altar, garlands wrapped around farm benches, and a single delicate garden rose placed on a chair in memory of loved ones not there, every detail was thought through and purposeful.
The words ‘breathtaking’ and ‘gorgeous’ continue to be the two words we’ve used to describe this wedding because they are the only ones to convey the details of the day! Long reception tables with garland draping from end to end lit by antique chandeliers with edison bulbs; family style dinner with a delicious farm to table organic menu…
An eclectic antique gold mirror with each guest’s name handwritten it its’ reflection, and a custom wooden bar for cocktail hour; a dance party that went well into the night with a special tribute to the Groom as their wedding day was also his 30th birthday! These are the moments that we look back on so fondly, moments of this wonderfully sweet couple and the most beautiful start to their happily ever after.
